2018 Auto Bild Sunny SN-3830 test

In 2018 experts of the German publication Auto Bild have tested the Sunny SN3830 at size 245/45 R18 and compared it with nine similar budget, mid-range and premium UHP winter tyres. Moreover, experts included into the test one reference summer tyre for comparison of results.

According to the test results Sunny took last place.

Main conclusions:

  • Relatively good dry performance: tyre didn’t take high positions, but showed very close result to premium tyres and leaders.
  • Extremely poor wet performance: very long braking distance and low handling speed.
  • The lowest straight aquaplanning resistance.
  • The longest snow braking distance and lowest handling speed.
  • Good rolling resistance.
  • High noise level.
