In 2016 experts of the Russian magazine Auto Mail.Ru have tested the Nexen WinGuard Ice at size 205/55 R16 and compared with 3 similar budget studless tire. In addition, experts included into the test the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 as a premium reference tire for comparison of results.

  • Relatively good on the snow. The tire didn’t take high positions, but showed very close results to the leader.
  • One of the best result on the ice among similar budget tires. Moreover, Nexen was very close to the premium Nokian.
