In 2016 experts of the magazine Auto Bild Belarus have tested the Nexen WinGuard ice SUV at size 235/65 R17 and compared with six similar budget, mid-range and premium winter studless tires.

According to the test results Nexen took 6th place.
Main conclusions:
- The longest wet braking distance, but good handling.
- Relatively short dry braking distance.
- Average results on the ice. Nexen didn’t take high positions in tests on the ice, but showed very close results to the premium tires.
- Good snow braking.
- Low rolling resistance.
