Hankook is a premium quality summer tire from the Korean manufacturer, released in 2022. It is a more affordable tire compared to other premium competitors, but still provides excellent performance. The model is available from 16 to 17” sizes and is suitable for Passenger cars and mid-size Crossovers.
Thanks to technologies such as Uniform footprint pressure, Low Noise Groove Wall Knurling, Round Optimization and Extreme Precision Handling Technology, the Hankook provides good dry and wet performance, as well as a comfortable driving.
Dry performance
The tire has one of the highest dry performance ratings in the category at 98.42%, based on multiple tests. Its result in braking is 97.7%, and in handling – 99.14%. This means that the tire provides maximum performance on dry asphalt.
Wet performance
Wet asphalt is one of the biggest driving hazards.It is very important that the tire provides reliable grip on wet roads. And Hankook performs well, with an overall score of 94.08%. Its braking score is 94.08%, while handling and lateral stability are on par with the top brands, 97.75% and 97.77% respectively. Great results.
Aquaplaning resistance
The tire provides high resistance to straight aquaplaning – 94.63%, while with lateral aquaplaning its results are worse – 82.06%. At the same time, the overall result is 88.35%, which is generally not bad but not at the level of top brands.
Noise
Thanks to Low Noise Groove Wall Knurling technology, the tire provides low noise levels, with a rating of 97.72%. Excellent result for a quiet ride.
Rolling resistance
