2016 Teknikens Varld General Altimax Sport test

In 2016 experts of the Sweden publication Teknikens Varld have tested General Altimax Sport at size 205/55 R16 and compared with eleven similar budget, medium and premium summer tires.

9th place in Wet braking. The braking distance was 1.54m longer, than the leader.

11th place in Wet handling. General was 1.22sec slower, than the leader.

Overall General Altimax Sport review

According to the test results General took 11th place.

Main conclusions:

  • Relatively good wet perforance: the tire didn’t take high positions, but showed close result to the leader.
  • Low straight aquaplanning resistance.
  • The longest dry braking distance and low handling speed.
  • Low comfort.
  • Good rolling resistance.
