The tyre has been replaced by the Continental IceContact 2.

In 2014 experts of the Finnish organisation Test World have tested the Continental Ice Contact at size 205/55 R16 and compared with 12 similar budget, medium and premium winter tires.

Main conclusions:

  • Good wet performance.
  • Relatively long dry braking distance, but the best handling and directional stability.
  • Excellent on the ice: the best braking distance and handling, good traction.
  • Average results on the snow, but very close to the leader.
  • Good noise level.
  • The worst rolling resistance.
